WELCOME.
Each year PBI takes the pulse of the broadcast industry, by hosting its Annual Conference. PBI is an international forum open to all public service broadcasters since 1991. With more than 100 Delegates from more than 50 countries expected to take part, the 2010 edition is keen to welcome your active participation. After 2009 remarkable Conference hosted in Kyoto by NHK, it is a special honour for RTP to host the event in Sintra, Portugal on 27th, 28th and 29th October.
The social evolution and technological innovations introduced by the digital environment are creating new challenges for the industry, requiring a new organization of the TV Broadcasters and changing the way how to produce the contents.
The stage is set to address top technology trends by looking for ways to increase operating efficiencies, reduce operating costs and find new sources of revenue. Conference sessions themes will cover topics such as the transition to HDTV operations, multi-platform content distribution, file-based/tapeless workflows and exploring the path to 3DTV.
That’s why this year, we invite you to tune into the PBI 2010 Conference in Sintra.
